Tonight, I babysat for three 15-month-olds and six 5-10 year olds, and before tonight, I thought I disliked kids. But when you’re taking care of such young ones, it’s really really eerie how your mommy instincts just naturally come out and you just switch mentalities completely. I actually really enjoyed it, and I surprised myself with how good of a “mommy” I was without even trying. I can’t wait to have my own someday. :)
When I have my own place one day, I’m going to have lots of candles everywhere that I would light at night to give the house a warm glow, fresh flowers from my garden on the table, and an array of art hung on the walls. And pictures. Lots of pictures of my family. And a puppy or kitty. And a creatively shaped bookshelf lined with my favorite books. Yes.
